Settings to change after updating to Java 6.010 or higher

After updating Java to it's latest version, some people experience problems like the page keeps refreshing itself or becomes very slow to load. To make Java work properly, you need to set an environment variable in your pc. This is how to do it:
Right click on "My Computer" , select "Properties" . A new window will open. Select the tab "Advanced" and click on the button "Environment variabels".
In the "Environment variables" dialog, section "System variables" (or "User variables" if it is just for you), click the button "New". Type
J2D_D3D
into the name field and
false
into the value field. Click on "Ok" to close the window. The settings should be working right away without having to restart your pc.

Downloaded the latest Java. And followed your instructions. Puzzles now load properly but I'm getting an annoying yellow exclamation mark in the upper right hand corner of the puzzle page. These Java updates have been a royal pain in the patooee.

Madbatter, I don't know a solution to your problem yet. (apart from uninstalling Java and going back to an older version...)
But I've learned how to remove the yellow exclamation mark that pops up with some users:
Go to configuration -> Java Control panel. Open the advanced tab. Open Security and uncheck the box
Show sandbox warning banner
. Click on Apply and the mark should not appear anymore.

Hello
I apologize for not writing in English correctly, my English is very bad:)
¿Alguna idea?.

What happens if you remove the last Java update? If it fixes the problem - you don't really need the newest Java.

Gracias
Uninstall the latest version, I now have installed the version 6 update 5 and IE6 goes well, but I think there are problems in my computer, Firefox and other programs do not work. I'll see if that is the problem. Thanks

Gracias
The problem is the drivers from Logitech Setpoint 4.70. When active setpoint, the window blinks and stops after leaving setpoint. To avoid problems with the game, close setpoint before opening the page (click on the icontray and exit) and reactivated when the game has started. Thus, no longer causes problems with Java. I hope to serve you. Thanks for everything
