44th place??? PHOOEY!!! :( - and I thought I ripped through these pretty fast...

But looking at raist's score - he (or she) had to have gotten 1st place in virtually all of them...

Hopefully over the next 23 weeks everyone will forget about this, letting me slide into 1st place (I'm so competitive).

Congrats to raist, cherrypez and serene for their top 3 rankings! - Until next week!

Was anyone else confused by the old February griddlers still appearing in the G-Match? I was a couple minutes late and spent the first 30 minutes doing puzzles that weren't even part of tournament #8! I thought it was odd that they didn't ask for this week's password... *sigh*

Oh, also, I didn't see any secret messages in this round. Did I miss something in my (futile) attempt to go faster, or was there not one this week?

Strangesounds, redhead21, cuki:
It is only the first round. The speed of solving has less effect on the score. Attending more rounds will get you up in the list.

Moonsun6:
Sorry for your confusion. Always look at the date:
77252 >> Mar 14, 2009 6:40:00 PM << Ant at Work
And of course - if a puzzle doesn't need a password - it is not a G-Match puzzle.

Secret message:
The G-Match puzzles were solved in less than 3 hours. I removed the secret message quite early this time. However, you can go to:
Forum --> Site Updates --> Chat and G-Match
Look for the 1st Round Chat thread and open the attachment. At the bottom of the chat_log document you'll find a table with the passwords and the secret messages. The table of passwords and secret messages will be updated every week.

Hi! I have a question: why the gmatch, today (april, 4), doesn't ask me the password to solve the puzzles?

After 12 hours the puzzles don't require a password to solve. Everyone can solve them as usual.

Today I said bye bye to my top 5 placement and welcome to top 20! That is the dear consequences of a real life commitment! ;)

Real life commitment = Birthday party for my farther = Good food and a afternoon on the beach a warm day doing springtime. I have to tell you it was worth it :)

So fellow solver remember real life! Go out and enjoy it! (Preferably the next three Saturdays so I have a chance of getting back in the top 5!)

Note:
It took 4 hours and around 40 minutes before all puzzles were solved. Bad for me but great for us cause the tournaments are becoming popular. We all like the competition do we not?!
I can remember in the start of the last tournament were I attended a party first and afterwards (not quite sober) solved the puzzles around 8 hours after the release. I still earned around 200 points.

2.
You can always find this info in the forum. We attach a chat log after every round. At the bottom of that document you'll find a table with all the passwords and groups.
